Primary
Face and expression are key. Everything else comes second. here are some tips to help with your sessions.
Clothing
When choosing clothing, start with the basics. Think about simple colors and textures. Vivid color can be cool, but only in the right scene. Busy patterns can work, but only in the right context. Bring several colors even if one is your favorite. Logo wear can be dated very quickly, sometimes as soon as a number of months. Bring it if you truly want to be photographed in something like this, but keep in mind it is best to have clothing that is more timeless.
Layers can be great, especially for long sleeve options. Something you can take on and off easily without the need of a changing room is a great idea. Short sleeves are more casual and long sleeves are more formal.
Bring/wear what you look best in and bring things that are you. We often find that certain outfits don’t photograph as well as others.
Bring options if you can. While wearing one thing is easy, it does limit your looks and to some degree what we can pull off on location when we only have one outfit to photograph.
No limits to clothing changes. But we do warn that the more often you change, the less photos you will have to choose from.
Hair
Rule #1 is don’t show up for a session with a brand new hair cut. Give it a few days first. It is also popular to break up your sessions so that if you want two or more hairstyles you can get photos taken with each one.
Blemishes
Don’t worry about it. Just cover up as much as possible and as you normally would. We will take care of the rest with lighting, camera angle and post production touch up as necessary.
Don’t Stress
Contact a professional today and get ready to have fun making lasting images and leave the details to someone else.
Requirements
Students that are already 18 can be photographed by themselves or bring someone else with them of their choice. Students not 18 yet must be accompanied by an adult/guardian throughout the session, and you can still bring a friend.
